Training

Overview

I began my training career 25 years ago as a Microsoft Certified Trainer working with an array of clients including Unilever,  PepsiCo, GlaxoSmithKline, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and  as a Senior Trainer at the BBC. After taking a long break to focus on family, my work diversified into mental health and emotional intelligence (EI). As a trainer and facilitator, I draw extensively from my studies and work as an Holistic Psychotherapist, Supervisor and EQ Coach. Recent clients include TATE, Chatham House Institute of International Affairs, East Sussex County Council and Brewin Dolphin Wealth Management.

Areas of Expertise:

I believe that emotional intelligence creates a cascade of positive effects that impact our families, our workplaces, our communities and our planet.  I am passionate about helping individuals and businesses thrive by supporting mental health initiatives and enhancing EI in the workplace. My experience as a facilitator enables clients to respond to complex challenges and oppositional ideas - ultimately attaining more expansive decision-making and breakthrough outcomes at every level. I have recently worked with local councils in examining implicit and complicit prejudice.

With an extensive background in I.T. training, I also remain available to organisations seeking software trainers to work individually, or as part as a team. In 2019 I worked throughout the UK delivering training in bespoke quality assurance systems for the financial sector.

I am able to offer specialist psychological support through coaching and de-briefing, including Critical Incident De-briefing. CID is widely used in many sectors including Healthcare, the Armed Forces and Emergency Services; but is applicable to anyone in the wake of sudden or sustained trauma, such as terrorist attack, pandemic, fire or flooding.

I am dedicated to delivering first class training and facilitation, with a consistent goal to inspire and empower clients to reach their full individual and corporate potential.

Supervision

Enquire about Supervision

Overview

If you are a counsellor, psychotherapist, eco-therapist, coach, mentor or work in a similarly supportive role - requiring compulsory, or optional supervision - please do get in touch to discuss your individual needs. I am qualified in Clinical Supervision Level 3 (Advanced) Accredited by the British Psychological Society.

My fees are £45 per hour, 1:1 in person or online. Facilitation for group or peer supervision by negotiation.

Supervision Recommendations:

The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy requires  a minimum of 1.5 hours per calendar month for Accredited members, regardless of number of contracted clients. This can be a mix of one to one, peer, telephone and online, as all these count for accreditation. For trainee members, a minimum of 1.5 hours per calendar month. Ratio of 8 hours counselling to 1 hour supervision, with supervision every two weeks. This can be a mix of one to one or group and a facilitator is needed for group supervision.

Despite all this formality, I will ensure that your supervision is supportive, encouraging, affirming and offers you a secure setting in which to explore you work and consider other aspects of your life that may be impacting it.

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”
Robert Louis Stevenson
